Adult Education Class ~ FOR MORE THAN FOUR-HUNDRED YEARS, The magnificent Westminster Confession of Faith has guided and informed Presbyterian lay and clergy in matters secular and divine. Yet few Presbyterians today study the lofty principles and Scriptural insights of this mighty document that many consider the pinnacle of Protestant thought. Join us in Fellowship Hall at 8:45 a.m. each Sunday morning -beginning September 19, 2010 - as we dwell upon the Christian wisdom and guidance that you will find in this shining jewel of the Protestant Reformation. Along with precious insights into the thinking of John Knox and his Presbyterian contemporaries, you will receive a copy of the PC(USA) "Book of Confessions" as your study guide.
Children’s Sunday School ~ The elementary class will use “Rock Solid”, Cokesbury’s engaging and biblically sound curriculum. Each Sunday our children will be presented with a new faith experience as they come to a better understanding of God and what God calls them to do and be. Activities, games, crafts, songs and stories will contribute to their faith experience.
Koinenia Group ~ Koinenia, means “sharing together.” ESPC has always recognized the spiritual value of offering small group opportunities that provide a close-knit atmosphere where seekers not only study God’s word, but also share a Christian walk and pray for one another. Koinenia meets every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm at a host home. Join us on September 22nd as we consider topics of study for 2010-11. Call Ellie Buff for details at 424-0820.
From the Bible:
“Happy are those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or take the path that sinners tread, for the Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish..” Psalm 1:1;6.
